A CopyFactory alternative: copy trading as your own product.
CopyFactory is MetaApi's hosted copy-trading service. fxapis takes a different approach: instead of a copier you configure, it gives you one API call that places a trade on every follower's MT5 account — and leaves the rules, the brand and the product to you.
A complete copier, hosted by MetaApi.
In CopyFactory you add MetaTrader accounts to MetaApi, create strategies for provider accounts, and subscribe subscriber accounts to them (source). It is feature-rich: several strategies per subscriber, trade size scaling, symbol mapping, filters by symbol, side and magic number, drawdown and equity filters, risk limits that stop a subscription out, webhooks, and publishing a strategy's trades to a Telegram channel (documentation, Telegram, risk limits).
It is billed per account per hour, on top of MetaApi's account hosting, and MetaApi recommends running it on their cloud-g2, high-reliability servers (pricing, FAQ). Prices load dynamically on metaapi.cloud; read from the rendered pricing section on 30 September 2026, CopyFactory was $0.001575 per account per hour on cloud-g2 and $0.1575 on cloud-g1, excluding VAT.
When CopyFactory is the better choice
- You need MT4 as well as MT5.
- You want strategies, subscriptions and risk filters ready-made, configured rather than built.
- You copy from master accounts traded by hand and want the fastest possible detection of their trades.
- You want Telegram publishing built in.
If that describes you, CopyFactory is a strong option. The rest of this page is for teams it doesn't fit.
Build it on multi-account orders.
One request places the same trade on every follower's account, sized per account, and reports each account separately — 30 ms from first to last across 100 accounts in our benchmark.
| Aspect | In CopyFactory | On fxapis |
|---|---|---|
| Strategy | A provider account's trades | Your strategy's trades — or a master account you read through the API |
| Subscriber | An account subscribed to a strategy | A follower account connected with POST /v1/accounts |
| Copying a trade | Automatic, by the service | One multi-account order per trade: POST /v1/execution-waves |
| Trade size scaling | Copy ratio and scaling settings | weights: the exact volume for each follower, computed by you |
| Symbol mapping | A setting | Your code maps names, e.g. EURUSD → EURUSD.a |
| Risk limits and stop-outs | Built-in filters and limits | Stops on every order, plus your rules with a close-only key |
| Signal delay / timing | A setting | executeAt, and a barrier policy for late accounts |
| Telegram publishing | Built in | Your bot — or combine with click-to-trade |
Open on every follower. Close on every follower.
The heart of a copier is two functions. The first sends one multi-account order with a size for each follower and an idempotency key derived from your trade, so a crash and a retry can never copy it twice. The second closes each follower's position with its own idempotency key — a retried close on a hedging account would otherwise open the opposite position.
Everything around them — who follows whom, how sizes are worked out, when a follower is stopped out — is your code, in your product. The multi-account orders guide covers barrier policies, results and cancelling.

)What you gain, and what you give up.
You gain
- A copier that is your product, under your brand, with rules no settings page limits
- A separate result for every follower on every trade, and a measured dispatch spread
- Unclear outcomes confirmed against each broker, never resent by guesswork
- Flat monthly pricing by accounts and orders; closes never counted
- Click-to-trade in the same API, for followers who want to approve each trade
You give up
- MT4 — fxapis is MetaTrader 5 only
- Ready-made risk filters, symbol mapping and subscription management
- Streaming: a hand-traded master account is read by polling, about every 15 seconds
- Built-in Telegram publishing
CopyFactory alternative, answered
Is fxapis a drop-in replacement for CopyFactory?
No. CopyFactory is a hosted copy-trading service with strategies, subscribers and built-in risk filters. fxapis gives you the execution layer — one order on many accounts, sized per account, with a result for each — and you write the copying rules. It suits teams that want the copier to be their own product.
Can fxapis copy trades from a master account traded by hand?
Yes, by reading the master account's positions and deals through the API and sending a multi-account order when a new trade appears. Positions refresh about every 15 seconds while an account is online, so copying from a hand-traded master is slower than when your own strategy calls fxapis directly — which is the fastest way to use it.
How do I scale trade sizes per follower?
Give the multi-account order a base volume and a weights map with the volume for each follower that differs. You compute each size — proportional to balance, a fixed lot, or a follower's chosen risk — so any scaling rule is possible.
What about risk limits and stop-outs?
fxapis does not run risk rules for you. Send stop losses and take profits with every order — they live at each broker — and give your risk process a close-only (trading:reduce) key so it can flatten a follower when your rule is breached, without ever being able to open a trade.
Does fxapis support MT4 for copy trading?
No, MetaTrader 5 only today. CopyFactory works with both MT4 and MT5 accounts through MetaApi.
How is it priced compared with CopyFactory?
CopyFactory is billed per account per hour on top of MetaApi's hosting. fxapis is a monthly plan by connected accounts and orders, where each follower's order counts once and closes are free. Which is cheaper depends on your account count, hours online and order volume; the calculator on our MetaApi comparison page shows both.
