Trading sessions, the official economic calendar, CFTC positioning and a daily research brief for your watchlist — every claim cited, every lean scored afterwards against what actually happened. Read it in the console, over the API, or from an AI agent. It is research, never trading advice, and it never places a trade.

MarketLabs is in beta.
It runs on real official data today — not a prototype — and it is still early. We are building it in the open and changing it as we learn what traders and their AI agents actually need.
Works today
- Trading sessions for Tokyo, London and New York, live
- The official calendar of US, UK and euro-area release dates
- CFTC positioning for the currencies it publishes
- A daily cited research brief for every watchlist pair
- A hit rate next to the lean, once a pair and horizon reaches 30 scored calls
Still being built
- Wider pair and horizon coverage as more calls get scored
- Broader positioning coverage as CFTC adds futures contracts
- More analyst lenses behind each daily brief
No dates promised — tell us what would make it more useful to you.
See which sessions are open — before you read anything else.
- Tokyo, London and New York, live — not a guess from your own clock.
- The 24-hour UTC timeline shows the whole day's overlaps at a glance.
- The same map and clock the dashboard shows, not a separate illustration.
London and New York overlap
15:00 UTC
Standard local session hours at a sample moment — in the dashboard this updates live.
Every lean comes with the evidence behind it.
- A lean and a confidence, never a bare recommendation.
- Four short analyst lenses: technical, macro, news and positioning.
- Bull and bear cases side by side, each claim citing where it came from.
“EUR/USD is up over five sessions into next week's ECB decision, with CFTC positioning still net short euro and realised volatility low.”
- Technical: rate above its 20-day average
- Macro: US 10-year yield eased this week
- News: coverage close to average
- Positioning: euro still net short, narrowing
Bull case
- Rate held above its 20-day average for five sessions.
- Euro net-short positioning has been narrowing.
Bear case
- The US 10-year yield is still high, favouring the dollar.
- Realised volatility is low — a move could reverse quickly.

Every lean is checked against what actually happened.
- A lean is recorded before the next official rate is known.
- Checked against the result afterwards — nothing is rewritten.
- A hit rate appears only once a pair and horizon reaches 30 scored calls.

Your AI trading partner, built in.
A partner that reads your MarketLabs brief, talks it through with you, and can answer why. When you want to act on it, it can prepare an order on your own account for you to confirm — it never trades on its own, and it is not a signal service.
Today: any agent through MCP, with the get_marketlabs_research tool. Next: a partner built into fxapis itself.
- Every order still needs your confirmation, on an account you choose.
- No date promised — this is in development, not a current feature.
The rate is above its 20-day average, and CFTC positioning is still net short the euro — both pointing the same way.

Illustration of a planned feature, in development. It never trades on its own, and it is not a signal service.
One place to understand what moves your pairs — honest about the evidence.
What we are building toward, concretely: not a prediction service, a place to see the evidence and be held to it.

What MarketLabs is not.
Not a trading signal. A lean and a confidence describe a view and its evidence — never a recommendation, and nothing here places, modifies or closes a trade automatically.
Not broker quotes. Its prices are official daily or exchange reference rates for research, not what your broker fills at. For live dealing prices, read the account's own quotes.
Not a guarantee. A hit rate is a record of what already happened, scored after the fact — never a promise about what happens next.
Included on every plan during the beta.
MarketLabs uses the same API key and workspace as your trading — nothing extra to set up.

Before you rely on this.
MarketLabs is in beta. Its features, data coverage and which plans include it may change or be withdrawn — including moving it to specific or paid plans. Access on every plan during the beta is not a commitment to keep it there. Research here is general information, not investment or trading advice; it may be incomplete or delayed, and it never places a trade. You are responsible for your own trading decisions. See the Terms.
New to fxapis? The MT5 API covers trading end to end; MarketLabs is the research half of the same account. See the MarketLabs guide for the watchlist, the endpoints and the error codes.
Questions about MarketLabs
What is MarketLabs?
The research half of fxapis: trading sessions, the official economic calendar, CFTC positioning and a daily research brief for the pairs on your watchlist. It is read in the console, over the API, or by an AI agent through the hosted MCP server — with the same API key as your trading.
What does "beta" mean here?
MarketLabs runs on real official data today, not a prototype — sessions, the calendar, positioning where it is published, and a daily cited brief per pair all work now. It is still early: coverage, the analyst lenses behind each brief, and which plans include it may all change as we learn what traders and their agents need — including moving MarketLabs to specific or paid plans, or withdrawing a feature. We don't promise dates, and access on every plan during the beta is not a commitment to keep it there. See the Terms for the full beta terms.
Does MarketLabs place trades?
No, never. A research report is a view, with its evidence shown — a lean (bullish, bearish or neutral) and a confidence (low, medium or high), not a signal to act on automatically. Any trade based on it is still yours to place, on an account you choose.
Is the data real-time?
No. MarketLabs uses daily official and exchange reference rates and recent history, not a broker's live dealing price. For live quotes on an account, read that account's own market data.
How does the track record work?
Every lean is recorded before the next official rate is known, then scored afterwards against what actually happened — never rewritten after the fact. Once a pair and horizon has reached 30 scored calls, its hit rate appears next to the lean; before that, the dashboard explains why it is still empty.
Which plans include it?
Every plan during the beta — Personal, Pro, Production, Business and Enterprise — using the same API key and workspace as your trading. That is a beta arrangement, not a commitment: coverage and which plans include MarketLabs may change. A plan that does not include it answers 402 FEATURE_NOT_IN_PLAN if you call a MarketLabs endpoint anyway.
Can an AI agent act on the research by itself?
An agent can read it — the get_marketlabs_research tool returns the same daily brief, for workspaces whose plan includes MarketLabs. Like every MarketLabs surface, the tool places nothing: a trade based on its view still needs your confirmation.
What is the AI trading partner?
A planned feature, in development — not available yet, and we're not promising a date. It will read your MarketLabs brief, talk it through with you, and can prepare an order on your own account. It never trades without your confirmation, and like every MarketLabs surface, it is not a signal service telling you what to do.
Does MarketLabs favour any broker?
No. Its reference rates and positioning are independent of any trading account, and it works the same way whichever MT5 broker your accounts are at.
